8L45 - 8L90 Performance

The 8L45 and 8L90 are GM’s later eight-speed automatics — 8L90 in Camaro ZL1, CTS-V, and Silverado applications; 8L45 in the smaller passenger-car units. These transmissions need a converter that can live with both daily driving and serious power.

Every unit is engineered and assembled in Dearborn with thorough TIG-welding, heavy-duty sprags, USA-made bearings, high-energy clutch materials, and CNC-machined components.
